Information about our club
It is important to us that you enjoy your membership of “Wilsden Squash Club”.
In order that you do so, here are some bits of information
that will help to introduce you to the club and the few simple rules that all organisations such as ours exist by.
The club is run by a small committee who meet once a month(usually on the first Monday) at 8:00pm. Their job is to manage the running of the club and its various activities. Any member is welcome to attend these meetings at any time. There is an Annual General Meeting held in May. Members of the committee can be approached at any time should there be anything you need to find out about.
As well as the main aim of playing squash, there are also several social events throughout the year to which members’ family and friends are welcome.
There may be some odd occasions when members’ assistance is requested for odd jobs about the club premises. However, this is a very rare occurence nowadays and will only be sought in extreme circumstances.
The bar is open from 7:00pm until 11:00pm every weekday, except Public Holidays, and every Sunday until 10:30pm. It is also open on Saturday nights during the league season when theTe are matches taking place. Available over the bar are soft and alcoholic drinks, curries(after play has ended), soaps, shampoos, towel loans(f or those who forget their own), as well as squash supplies including squash balls, wrist bands, grips, resin pads, light cards and booking stickers.
The bar staff will also take telephone bookings for peak time courts. The rule here is that bookings six days in advance are taken after 8:00pm and any other days after 7:00pm. Please note that members who are on the premises when the booking sheets are posted on the board get priority.
